How does it Work
We have teamed up with Panda Cricket Academy who run great Youth Training Programmes within their Academy set up with their coaches.
When your kid gets a bit older (14-15), and the foundations have been laid, we then provide assessments and bespoke programmes.
-
At this age we focus on fun, variety, and movement skills- jumping, skipping, crawling, balancing and learning how to control the body.
It is all about building co ordination, confidence, and body awareness through playful but structured activity.
‘If kids move well when they’re are young, they will train well when they are older’ Jeremy Frisch
-
Now we start introducing Basic Strength and Movement Patterns - all with great technique.
We continue to build agility, balance and rhythm while keeping sessions engaging and fun.
‘The goal here is not to make them stronger yet- it’s to teach them how to Move Like Athletes ‘ Dom Thompson
-
There is where we begin structured strength training- Always Form First. We build whole body strength, core strength, landing mechanics and sprint technique, while maintaining mobility and flexibility.
‘They start to look and move like Athletes- we make sure they are doing it safely and smartly’
-
Now we introduce more advanced strength and power development and work capacity needed to train and compete consistently- tailored to their development- This is where Assessments come in.
‘This is the phase we help young Cricketers become Stronger, Faster and more Resilient without skipping the fundamentals’
Why it Matters in Cricket?
First, we want your kids to be Resilient Cricketers. We want them to enjoy playing the great game pain free…….for many years.
Our Framework will seamlessly take them through the age groups and provide the Physical Support they need at each stage to become Robust Cricketers.
Our Second aim is to maximise their potential. Cricket is an athletic sport. They will be developed at the right speed and doing the right things to make sure they reach their Physical and Cricketing Peak.
Youth Cricket- Building Cricketers for the Long Run, not just the next Match
At Cricket Resilience, we follow a proven framework called Long Term Athlete Development (LTAD).
Our Philosophy centres around Movement Quality, Long-Term Development and Building Athletic Foundations early.
